Musik & Geschichten aus Island und Skandinavien: Als Fortsetzung der CD "EDDA - vol.I" präsentiert POETA MAGICA das Hörbuch "EDDA - vol.II". Die zeitgemäße Umsetzung der gewaltigen altnordischen Liedersammlung ist eine einzigartige Verbindung von Erzählung, musikalischer Inspiration und Virtuosität. Die Gedichte der Edda sind als Geschichten zu hören; mal nachdenklich stimmend, mal erheiternd. Vorgetragen und verfasst wurden sie von dem renommierten Philologen Prof. Dr. Ulrich Mehler. Abgerundet wird das Werk durch die Rezitation des Originaltextes des "Grimnismál", vorgetragen von Rainer Hildebrand. Die Texte sind mit Klängen und Sounds unterlegt und zwischen Melodien eingebettet, die zu den ältesten bekannten aus Skandinavien zählen.
POETA MAGICA arbeitet dabei mit seltenen nordischen Instrumenten: Das Ensemble um den "Nyckelharpa-Papst" Holger Funke spielt mehr als ein Dutzend verschiedener Nyckelharpa-Modelle, mal traditionell, mal mit Einflüssen von Jazz und Klassik, mal in Eigenkompositionen. Eine musikalische Reise in den Norden gemäß dem Motto von POETA MAGICA: nordic.pagan.folk
